Continue Editing after Save
What happens when you select the default MatterSphere Save option will depend entirely on how your own firm have set it up to perform for example:
Scenario 1 – Clicking Save produces the Save wizard and will require you to click finish which then closes the document. (This options allows you to change the description of the document but still closes it on finish)
Scenario 2 – Clicking Save, saves the document and then closes the document, (This option will simply save and close the document immediately)
In both these scenarios if you want to save your document part way through editing and continue to type after the save you would have to re-open the document. Not ideal. You do of course have the MatterSphere Save and Continue option but if you wish to use the MatterSphere Save Icon on your QAT as above then you will end up with Scenario 1or 2.
There is a setting in MatterSphere that will allow you to use the Save icon with either scenario 1 or 2 but the document will not close therefore allowing you to continue to type.
- Select the MatterSphere/MatterCentre Tab
- Click the Change User Settings icon
- Select the Continue Editing after Save option
- Ensure this option is ticked
- Click Save and OK
